There was once a training manager who attended a decision making course. He had performed extremely well on the course and, in turn, he was very impressed by the content and training methods. On his return to the training centre, he called his senior trainer into the office to tell him how impressive this course had been. He finished by saying, ‘You know, you really should go on this course.’
‘That’s a good idea,’ replied the senior trainer, ‘when am I going?’
‘I don’t know — I haven’t decided yet!’ came the decisive reply.
it’s a bit weird considering the manager who attended the course were considered to performed extremely, let me just say he did a good job but in the end I felt that the manager didnt learn anything because lecture is indeed important to learn but to be able to know that you learn is to be able to apply all of those in short, its all in the AppLicaTion.
anu daw?
huh?!..i think, the manager can’t apply the things he learned from the decision making course..he can’t tell to anybody that he’s a good decision maker, unless he apply it to his own life..
,,,,medyo nagoluhan ako,,,jeje,,,
i thought he performed extremely well?how come he was’nt able to apply what he learned?the true essence of understanding something or of really being good at something is when you were able to apply it in your everyday living..
decision making takes time..he was to impulsive in his decisions considering he went to a seminar in decision making
it really a puzzled story.. well at several times of reading i slightly get it in a sense that the manager tries to say to his senior trainer must undergo the same training maybe there’s something mising..
ayyy.. its better kung ia-apply nya sa everyday life nya ung pinag-aralan nya.. da best na sana sya ehh.. sumablay pa.. sayang..
honestly i didn’t understand the article thoroughly…what i understand is that the trainer was advised by the trainee to attend the same training so that he will be well trained…(whatever)
well,in the sense that the training manager just sleep in his decision making course…in a way a person must be attentive in everything he do…the thing is non-sense if he didn’t use what he have learn in such a thing he must…
parang balewala lng ung galing nya if he cannot apply that to real life..i would suggest n ipractice nya muna yung nalalaman nya before nya ituro sa iba to make it more effective.
ano ba yan……he can’t apply what he have learned…mas mgnda sana kung kaya nyang iapply ung npgaralan nia….
kala ko b naimpress sya?..mdali lng nmn yung pagdedesisyunan nya e..ay nko..ang plastic nya..i think he never really learn anything in that in that decision making course coz he cant apply what he learned on that..but the question is, natuto nga kya sya o pkitang tao lng?..
how can the manager be a senior manager if he has’nt under-gone the training that he is supposedly teaching.
tama ba or d q lang naintindihan?
bkit sya ang mag dedecide? dahil super decisive sya?. . .
senior manager is probably tesing the management trainee if the latter have learned his lesson…
pkialamero nman nun..qng aq cnampal q n un.. hehe.. cguro wlng sense kausap ung manger, ky un binastos nya…
considering that he attended the training and had performed extremely well during the course…uhmmmm….
change is never done overnyt!….
I think the ’senior trainer’ should start finding himself another boss!!! his Boss is hopeless… hehehe…
adik clang 2..4 me,hndi ideal ung maxadong pagkarir sa mga gnagawa sa lyf..hwat?hehe..bsta!nasa tao nmn ya n kung meh nagain ba xa tlagang lesson saa lyf…ahooo!
he didn’t apply the result of his training
hahahaha…. what a funny guy!!
foolish you are if you believe that trainings, classes etc would change you that much… experience is the best teacher pa rin…these lessons might teach you the basic but it wont teach you to do it…you take the initiative to apply it…teach yourself first..
anu b yan! nag attend b tlga cia ng desicion making course!
cguro pinag iisipan nia what is the best time for the senior trainer to attend that course! cguro lng naman! ahaha!
i think there isa a logic behind this story! its up for the readers if they would get it!
…hmmm..my goodness!!! the training manager itself admitted that he was very impressed with the content and the training method on that decision making course…hai,…that is simply as reading without comprehension…and learning without any application!!!…gudluck seo.
decisions are hard to make…
the thing is, even though you’ve already know many things form your experiences as you grow old,, still you cannot change the fact that you can still learn more from those who are younger than you……
honestly d q po magets?hehehe…loading p poh mind q…
hAhA nAkaKatuWa nMn… nAkAkabiTin.. kLngaN tLaganG pagicpan muna aNg mgA baGay bgAy dB? =D
tae wla syang natutunana….
c:
huh…s totoo lang…medyo naguluhan din me dun…well, the trainee manager have not really learned his lesson…sometimes we are also like the trainee manager…we learn lot of things…but we forgot to put into practice what we have learned..un ung kulang…application of all the things we’ve learned…and that’s what we should realize.
ahahah akala mo interisado tlga xa e nu….
haaisst..kahit yung nag”perform really well” sa training eh nahirapan sa pagpractice nung natutunan niya.. baka di maxado effective yung nging training niya..o well..di lang kasi sa performance within that training madedetermine yung effectiveness niya sa pagdecide..it is on the outside that one will truly test what he/she has learned.
I guess that’s the irony of life….. there are so many people like the trainer manager in the story who claims that they already learn a lot of things, but with a sudden jolt they realize that they actually learn nothing… and I pity those people….
the manager only looking for the best time for the senior trainer…. heheheh.. kelan kaya yun!!
toink ang gara nman nung guy ok n sna e ok n ok n e
taz bglang toink tlga hehe
sblay hehe
hari xa ng sblay
tsk! tsk!
sana d na xa ngrecommend’ hehe.. .
para d sumablay’
nweis’ such manifested how we would define learning’
to pronounce it too well or to apply it with excellence?
..isn’t it ironic..dont you think
..its like rain..on your wedding day..
..its a free ride,when u’ve already paid..
..its a good advice..and u just didnt take..
parang song lang ni alanis..ironic..
-kahit sa tingin mu alam mu na,make sure alam mu talga..kc kung akala mu alam mu na tas ndi mu pa pala alam, panu mu malalaman?..haha..gulo ba?!
it is better if that training manager apply his learnings to his daily life…it is true that all those trainings and seminars are senseless if you will not apply them to your existence in this world, and it is indeed that experience is the best teacher…he should know how to motivate people for him to be an effective leader. the other person on the situation asked, if when is the best time to attend the training and the training manager left a stupid answer…
one must practice what one preaches otherwise no one would believe you. this for me is one rule that everyone should follow.
the shed light on the logic of the story… I think what happened was despite the person taking crash course on decision making, he did not learn as shown when the senior trainer asked him and he cannot decide to answer the question….
in life, there are tyms that we have to face tough decisions.. either you make it or you break it… but do remember wherever way u go, there are no wrong decisions in life, its for you to make it right…
in life we will face tough decision. its either we fail or we will succeed. We must face the consequences of our decision..
mejo magulo…
uhmmm but the manager i think, didn’t get any learning from the course…because understanding the lesson is only half of learning…application completes it!
nyek, does he really learn in the training? how come he can’t decide?
anu daw????
parang ndi xa umatend ng training..i tot dami nya natutunan…hahaha…
im wondering if he really was present on that training course.
ang gulo nya huh.
di sya magiging good leader, for me ha. because he was not able to impart the things he learned. sabi mo kasi sir, dapat may successors yung leaders. and he is not a good ancestor.
what???
ang gulo eh…
but let me speak of my own understanding of the story…
its about decision making that we personally do… pero i guez it also speak of how decision should be made… nag-aral man ng decision making course yung training manager eh masyado niyang dinibdib yung education.. di siya gumamit ng experience tulad ng lesson sa “a teacher’s child”… di lang education ang dapat nating isabuhay pati ang experience… some decision need time but some come very imeddiate that your answer of yes or no will be equal to do or die….
dats the biggest challenge in lyf…
very decisive indeed.. Wahahah! ROFLMAO
ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!
EVERYBODY MUST SEARCH FOR THE KNOWLEDGE,MUST LEARN, MUST APPLY, MUST LIVE AND MUST LOVE IT!
… parang Tanga lng ung traning maNagEr..
naG aDviSe pa Xa…,
…,wla tlGa xanG natutuNan dun taPos lkAs ng loOb maGadvice…,
noh ba yun!
parang hindi nman nia maxiadong inintindi yung gnawa nia nung training.
nonsense!! ung advice..
the senior trainer must decide whenn he will go..not the training manger!
because sabe nga ni dante aligheri na you must decide for yourself di ba?
The short story implies two things: one, there was a miscommunication; and two, an impressive presentation does not guarantee a wholesome personality.
if the training manager. . . enter the decision course he should have decide when will the senior manager will enter the course..
he would have said that he can begin anytime..
i didnt find the story parang ang gulo…
what a stupid person!!!!!!!!!!
training bago he cant decide eh prng gustong gusto nia eh!!!!
ah basta pra cia tanga!!!!!
i do believe na yung manage ay wala talagang natutunan sa training course.. on the first place, kung may natutunan talaga sya dapat madali lang for him to apply it in their office..
i think, he should attend again sa training na yun.. he really needs it..
anu ba naman yan! di sya makag-decide..pero kung sabagay sa life natin, decision making takes time.. hai nakuh basta yun na yun!
useless!
eto ata ung sinsbi you don’t practice what you preach.. hehe..hmm nk2relate ako.. sumtyms i cant decide on my own..
aus un aah,,kakagling nga lng nia s decision making training tpos nung tinanong xa nung senior nia d xa mkpgdecide,,hehe,
cguro bangag ung manager na un!
ano b yon…. bk8 nmn gnun hehehehehe
jejejeje dpat d gnun …
True knowledge is indeed not only knowing things but it lies on the way you apply what you have learned
..my mga tao kse theoretically they new it but in application they fail..bket kya?? bka kse walang passion.. ung mind lng ung ntuto.. so its not rily learning..
ahaha !! ano kyA un ?
sana hindi na lang xa pumasok
dun, wala rin pla xang natutunan !
a mismatch of job!!! the two person in this short article should not call themselves training manager… because training managers are disciplined people…and displined people are decisive persons..
nyawwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!
anu daw?????????
d aq makarelate ah..,i’m very very sorry..,
ahahaha..,
byebye^^
haha… he might as well go on a training too
ngek… nu kaya un…
hehe…
act!!
actions!!
nsobrahan ata ung pag-aaral nya, pt cmpleng bagay nmn nggng kumplikado.
haun nkapagdcxon xa n ndi p xa nka2pagdecide………
ang gulo!!sir, pkexplain!!
cnxa n po!!
malamang tma c ralph nsobrahan nga un!!
